Description: TREATMENT IN FERDINAND HOTEL In Herculane Spa the main therapeutical factor is, besides the strong negative ionization and high purity of the air, the richness of the sulphur, thermo-mineral and hot-salty sources, highly indicated both for the external balneo-cure and internal cure in the treatment of severe reumatological diseases and also in the profilaxy of some affections. Therapeutical indications: For external use / cure: - diseases of the locomotor system (diseases of joints, muscles and tendons); - diseases of the peripheral nervous system; - skin diseases; - intoxications with lead and other heavy metals; - diseases of the respiratory system; - gynaecological diseases. For internal use / cure: - diseases of the digestive tube and of the annexed glands; - nutritional diseases; - some diseases of the kidneys and the urinary tract. The Ferdinand Hotel’s therapy center includes 2 sectors, the electrotherapy sector and the hydrotherapy sector, where the following procedures can be performed: - electrotherapy treatment: ultrasound, dyadinamic waves, magnetic waves, interferential waves, galvanic baths, galvanizations, aerosols; - massages; - hydrotherapy treatment: kinetotherapy, sulphur baths, thermo-salted baths, herbal baths, galvanic baths, underwater shower, etc.
